XFEL Mirror Positioning System
The XFEL Mirror Positioning System is modified from Toyama's standard mirror systems that are widely used in many of the undulator beamlines in SPring-8. This is an upgraded system providing much more precise positioning and higher stability creating very sharp focus and excellent alignment.

Double mirror systems are used to make the output beam parallel to the incident beam. Three mirror systems are used in beamline 3. Working in pairs they allow two different incident angles, 4 mrad or 2 mrad.
