Triptych graphite filter for SPring-8
This Graphite Filter is installed at front end of an X-ray Undulator beamline. Triptych graphite filter systems absorb the long wavelength portion of the synchrotron radiation light and convert it to heat. The heat is removed with cooling water. This Graphite Filter is used as a standard component at SPring-8.
- Each graphite film can be selected with triptych stepping motorized movement mechanisms.
- Flexible bellows makes it possible to drive it smoothly without leakage.
- ICF070 sapphire viewport is provided to monitor the surface temperature of films.
- Traversable pipe is used for in-vacuum cooling and no joints are used.
- The inner surface of the vacuum chamber is treated by electropolishing and a sheath heater is equipped. Therefore, it can achieve UHV condition in a short time.
